Ecōths Expands Their Commitment to Fair Trade in Fall 2018

December 12, 2017

Fall collection incorporates sustainable urban rugged styles for outdoor adventurers

Reno, NV – December 12, 2017 – Expanding their mission to bring together the triple bottom line of People, Planet and Product, Ecōths’ clothing for men will source 60% of their styles in Fair Trade Certified™ factories in Fall 2018. Staying true to their outdoor adventure roots, Ecōths’ fall styles will feature a rugged, lived in feel, with colors inspired by natural desert tones such as clay, terracotta and brown, combined with rich earthen and ocean colors like, Aegean blues and olive greens. Ecōths will also continue their commitment to sustainable and ethical business practices through their 3 Program, which provides three meals to one person for one day with the purchase of one garment. Since 2014, Ecōths has donated over 300,000 meals to those in need through regional food banks.

“We are proud to expand our dedication to sustainability by producing a majority of our styles in Fair Trade Certified™ factories,” states Tom Williamson, VP of Sales and Marketing for Ecōths. “Giving back through our 3 Program and prioritizing Fair Trade is important to our brand mission and to our socially conscious consumers.”

Highlighted by soft and sturdy organic cotton fabrics, with unique textures and details, the Fall 2018 Collection will provide the eco-conscious outdoorsman rugged, casual styles to see him through all his adventures. Many of the button-ups in the collection will feature the popular microfiber Handy Cloth in the bottom of the front placket, which is used to clean glasses, camera lenses or phone screens. New Fair Trade Certified™ styles will include the Whittaker LS, Ward LS, Stockton Sweater and more.

Fit for brisk days in the valley, the Whittaker LS ($70), made with 100% organic cotton, includes the Handy Cloth detail with a western style yoke and detailed stitching down the back. The Ward LS ($72) button-up shirt has the comfort and softness of a favorite sweatshirt with an organic cotton and polyester fleece blend and a rolled seam on the bottom hem.

Pull on Ecōths’ Stockton Sweater ($72) at the trailhead after a day of playing outside. 100% organic cotton with a marled fabric and contrast stripes, the Stockton has a button closure with ribbing at the neck and contrast striping at the hem and cuffs. Ecōths’ Stadler Pant ($82) will take you from crag to the local brewery with rugged organic cotton and the unrestricted comfort of articulated knees and a gusseted inseam. Other useful features in these all-around pants include a drop-in cell pocket and squared off back pockets.
