January 16, 2018

.

Seattle, WA – January 16, 2018 – Morakniv®, creator of quality Swedish knives since 1891, will proudly offer several free educational clinics for attendees at the 2018 SHOT Show presented by global ambassador and renowned survival expert Dave Canterbury. Canterbury has more than 20 years of experience in bushcraft and survival, founded the Pathfinder School where he teaches outdoor self-reliance and primitive skills, and wrote the New York Times bestselling “Bushcraft 101: A Field Guide to the Art of Wilderness Survival.”

On Tuesday, January 23rd, Canterbury will present Bushcrafting Basics from 1-2pm. In this clinic, he will cover the basics of fire starting and putting together an EDC (everyday carry) kit for backcountry excursions. Based on Canterbury’s “5 Cs of Survivability,” this clinic will focus on the most important basic survival skills needed to craft resources from the wilderness.

On Wednesday, January 24th, Canterbury offers an Advanced Bushcraft clinic from 1-2pm. During this event, he will go beyond basic skills to teach attendees how to survive in the backcountry with little to no equipment, covering skills such as tracking wildlife, crafting medicine from plants and navigating without a map or compass. Attendees will also learn valuable ways to save money on bushcrafting essentials like fire starters and packs.

On Thursday, January 25th, Canterbury will present Bushcraft First Aid from 1-2pm. Pulling from years of training, he will teach others how to be their own first responders when dealing with a variety of emergency situations, from cuts and burns to broken bones and head injuries. Attendees will learn first aid essentials to pack ahead of time, as well as how to make bandages, dressings and slings in the backcountry.

Each of these events will be offered at the Industrial Revolution booth, #1446, during SHOT Show in Las Vegas, NV. For more information, please contact suzanne@darbycommunications.com.
