MY DEUTER ADVENTURE: Share your adventures with Deuter and win a breathtaking hiking trip to Germany

April 16, 2018

Celebrating the release of the innovative new Futura Pro hiking pack, Deuter is giving away a seven-day adventure in Germany

LONGMONT, Colo. – Deuter is shaking up the backpack world again with the release of its Futura Pro hiking pack with a new, even lighter, fully suspended Aircomfort Sensic back system. To celebrate, the German pack maker will roll out the red carpet with My Deuter Adventure, welcoming adventurers from seven nations to the Bavarian mountains that Deuter calls home.

In partnership with BACKPACKER Magazine and Moosejaw, hikers can win a weeklong trip by using the #MyDeuterAdventure hashtag and completing an entry on MyDeuterAdventure.com. The trip starts off with a visit to the Deuter headquarters, where winners will have the chance to chat with the designers of the new Futura Pro and meet the people behind the 120-year-old brand.

After that it’s off to the Alps. First stop on the Deuter Adventure is a visit to the highest castle in Germany, the world-famous Neuschwanstein Castle. After taking in some royal Bavarian culture, winners will explore the highest mountain in Germany, the Zugspitze, with a summit plateau offering views of four countries and 400 surrounding peaks.

Next stop on the Deuter Adventure is a challenging hike up to the Funtensee, Germany’s highest lake. The lake is the coldest spot in the country due to its unique location, where lows of around −45 °C have been measured. Along the way, winners will get to experience German lifestyle and culture with overnight stays in alpine towns.

The prize includes flights to and from Germany, a one-week all-inclusive stay with authentic Bavarian lodging, mountain guides, the exclusive experience of ‘My Deuter Adventure’ and a Deuter Futura Pro hiking pack and accessories.

Contest begins April 15. Entrants will (1.) post unique and authentic hiking photos from their personal adventures on Facebook or Instagram, (2.) use the hashtag #mydeuteradventure, (3.) tag Deuter and (4.) fill out the entry form on mydeuteradventure.com.

Two winners from each participating country will be chosen by a jury consisting of a representative from a retail partner, a media partner, a photographer and a Deuter representative.

The new and even lighter Deuter Futura Pro will revolutionize the hiking backpack once again. On to new adventures!
