Therm-a-Rest Welcomes Industry Veteran Greg Dean as New Brand Director

SEATTLE, Wash. (February 12, 2018) — Seattle-based Therm-a-Rest, the industry leader in premium outdoor camp comfort, welcomes industry veteran Greg Dean to the team as its new brand director. Dean brings 20-plus years of product creation experience to Therm-a-Rest, and will be responsible for leading product development, driving market growth, and inspiring outdoor enthusiasts about the Therm-a-Rest brand.

“Greg’s experience as a product development manager is huge,” said Erik Flink, Vice President at Therm-a-Rest. “That, paired with his experience at a variety of relevant outdoor companies including Yakima, Burton Snowboards, and Easton Bell Sports, made him a highly-qualified candidate we couldn’t pass up.”

Dean steps into his new role having most recently served as a senior manager at Recreational Equipment Incorporated (REI), where he focused on product integrity and advanced concepts. At REI, he was responsible for the direction of product innovation, prototyping, testing, quality, and product development for REI and Co-op Cycles.

“Therm-a-Rest has been my go-to sleep system for 25-plus years in the outdoor industry,” said Dean. “I look forward to contributing to the brand’s legacy and working alongside the amazing team to innovate new solutions to enable better rest and comfort for any adventure.”

Reporting to Flink, Dean’s primary mission will be to lead the category managers and product development teams, innovating new solutions for a better night’s sleep guaranteed.
