Altra Welcomes Chuck Ponthier as Senior Director of Sales

DENVER, COLORADO – December 3, 2019 – Altra is thrilled to welcome Chuck Ponthier as Senior Director of Sales. Ponthier will lead all North American sales strategy from overseeing key accounts and P&L sheets to managing sales teams and business development. Ponthier comes to Altra with tremendous experience and sales leadership from his extensive experience at various brands where he was responsible for driving and executing sales strategies, managing large sales teams, and driving growth for multiple global leading brands.

Most recently, Ponthier served as the Vice President of North American Sales at Toms in Southern California where he directly managed the sales team, P&L statements, and multi-channel strategy. Prior to joining Toms, Chuck had long careers at both Sperry where he was Vice President of Sales and VF’s sister brand, Vans where he served as Senior Director of Sales. Chuck is excited to be back under the strategic parent company VF and be a part of the growing momentum of Altra. He is a big fan of Altra and the performance, functional product that makes Altra so authentic. As a long-time competitive swimmer and Texas native, Chuck is looking forward to getting back to performance footwear to collectively foster the run and outdoor specialty markets.
