SoftScience Footwear Announces Performance Water Shoes Designed for Women

August 8, 2018

Denver, COSoftScience footwear announces performance water shoes designed for women. From fishing to sailing and watersports, SoftScience created three styles designed to not only fit the female foot, but to deliver top-line performance and stability as well.

SoftScience footwear offers a lightweight, stable and shock absorbing wearer experience. When the fishing and boating community discovered the original Fin fishing shoe, the brand found its niche among those who live, work and vacation near the shore. Word spread, and soon fishing enthusiasts across the country had SoftScience shoes on their feet. As more women began requesting shoes in smaller sizes, making inroads into the women’s fishing and boating shoe category became a priority.

Featuring a slimmer and more streamlined cut, SoftScience water and fishing shoes provide technically advanced footwear options to an underserved female segment. “We saw a gap in the market and wanted to offer top-of-the-line women’s styles that go from land to sea, and back again because they dry so quickly,” says SoftScience CEO John Marriott. “Look for SoftScience on the feet of more female anglers than ever before.”

The SoftScience women’s water collection is available now at SoftScience.com, with three innovative styles. The SailFin, $79.95, is an athletic-looking, fast-draining sailing and boat shoe with a youthful vibe and synthetic textile laces to go from land to sea. The Fin 3.0, $79.95, is designed for extreme action fishing with a lace-up design, plus Trileon non-slip grip and athletic shoe support for stability in challenging conditions. Also available is the Fin 2.0, $79.95. Known as the “world’s most comfortable performance boat shoe,” this style features a draining system and all-synthetic mesh upper that dries quickly, offering best-in-class foot support and traction on wet and slippery decks. Women’s comfort flip-flops are also available, including the popular Waterfall Stripe Flip-Flops, $49.95, with arch and heel support.

Avid female angler Darcie Arahill, known as Darcizzle, was an early fan of the shoes. As a full-time YouTuber, she reels in tuna, wahoo and mahi-mahi while wearing SoftScience.

SoftScience makes top-notch, slip-resistant and quick-drying shoes that keep me on the water longer,” says Arahill. “I wear the SailFin and Fin 2.0. They grip the decks and look good enough to go right from the water to the dock and to dinner.”

At the core of the women’s shoes’ construction is a proprietary Trileon technology, allowing the shoes to be lightweight, supportive and superbly cushioned. Each pair features a removable, washable insole and both the shoes and the flip-flops have a slip-resistant outsole that won’t mark decks.
