January 14, 2020

The premium ski brand will focus on operational excellence and customer service to match its premium products

Chamonix, France (January 14, 2020) black crows, the iconic French ski brand focused on design-driven high performance ski products, will head into the new year with an energetic commitment to providing premium service to match its premium products. The brand recently welcomed several new operational hires and a renewed PR partnership with White Cloud Communication as part of its revitalized priority to provide excellent service, consistency and transparency while strengthening the black crows community.

“Following three years of solid growth in the North American market, we are strengthening our commitment to operational excellence with a new dedicated team based in Denver, Colorado,” said Black Crows Co-Founder and CEO Christophe Villemin. “Closer to our clients, we will continue to develop unique products and an improved customer experience.”

black crows products prioritize performance, pleasure and timelessness, with an uncompromised spirit and aesthetic. The 20/21 ski lineup will include brand new skis in its all-terrain, big mountain, touring, birdie (women’s) and junior ranges. black crows invites any and all to experience the skis during black crows’ brand new tour, Ski Sauvage, which will make dozens of stops this winter in North America and across Europe. Participants can not only demo skis but also to share a ski day with local and pro crows ambassadors. Follow @blackcrows_skis on Instagram for tour stop announcements.

Professional freeskiers Camille Jaccoux and Bruno Compagnet founded black crows in 2006 in Chamonix, France to offer ski products that promote a disruptive expression of ski culture while focusing on the pleasure of freeride skiing. The company introduced its growing line of skis to the North American market in 2014 and now has a dedicated and passionate following in North America and beyond.

“We are very honored by the strong dynamic that black crows and our products are now experiencing in North America,” said Jaccoux. “As a French brand of Chamonix, we really respect the culture of skiing here in America and to be part of it now is very important for us. We are still a small company, and our mission today is to structure our service so that all aspects of our brand are at the level of the quality of our products; this is what we are putting in place, this is essential.”

VP of Sales and Marketing Thomas Fabre, COO and VP of HR Nathalie Dougados, and CFO and CIO Romain Pollak recently joined the black crows leadership team to spearhead black crows’ commitment to providing an exceptional and consistent experience. To accommodate its growing North America and European team, black crows recently opened offices in Denver, Colorado and Paris, France.

Co-founders Camille Jaccoux and Bruno Compagnet, CEO Christophe Villemin, as well as Creative Director Yorgo Tloupas, remain the driving forces for the brand’s culture and design. The executive team—and all black crows employees—together will work to not only maintain black crows’ reputation for excellent product and resonant design, but also to continue to push the envelope in the ski industry and deliver a premium brand experience that exceeds expectations.

The black crows apparel line, a seamless extension of black crows hardgoods, is designed for avid freeski and backcountry skiers with design-driven features, acute attention to detail and uncompromised comfort and performance. Though the apparel line remains unchanged for 20/21, the brand is looking forward to the 21/22 line, which will be full of innovations—not only for those wearing the gear, but also in terms of materials, sustainability and choice of factories.
