Bag and Apparel Maker Providing Patterns, Instruction and Distribution Assistance
PORTLAND, Ore. – March 24, 2020 – As reported by the NYT, CNN, and others, there’s a nationwide shortage of protective masks for healthcare professionals. With the news of doctors willing to use bandanas as protection, and an influx of requests from doctors at private practices asking for help, Chrome Industries is using its own resources and mobilizing makers to rally and sew masks for the front line of healthcare.
Chrome is actively promoting the mask making effort, providing home-based makers with the design, pattern, and instructions to make masks at home. Anyone interested in supporting the project can email firstname.lastname@example.org to get the information.
“The lack of masks, gowns, and eye protection is limiting the ability of medical workers to fight the COVID-19 — and putting their lives at risk. There is a basic need on the front lines, and our community has an opportunity to help.” said Steve McCallion, President, Chrome Industries. “We all can help make a difference.”
Chrome Industries: Useful Durable Gear. Made for City. Since 1995.
Over the last 25 years, we never wavered from our commitment to making useful durable gear for people who live and ride in the city. We design and build our own things and care about how stuff is made. Everything we make is purpose-built, street-tested by our own crew and professionals around the world. Beyond the products we make, Chrome is a way of living the city. It’s working hard, playing hard and riding hard. Living at the intersection of creativity, resourcefulness, community and grit. Where art, music, photography, bike, moto, and skate collide. It’s protecting our playground and making our cities even more rad places to be. We don’t simply make products for people who live in the city. We are the city. Learn more at https://www.chromeindustries.com.
