Craft Sportswear Launches Atmosfär 1, Developed with Tommy Rivs

BORÅS, Sweden, August 18, 2026 /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Craft Sportswear today announced the launch of the Atmosfär 1, a premium max-cushion road running shoe developed in collaboration with Craft Elite Team athlete Tommy Rivs. Whether you’re heading out for recovery miles, daily training, or long weekend runs, Atmosfär™ 1 is designed to make running feel easier and more enjoyable, day after day.

Featuring a towering 51 mm stack height and a soft Px Foam™ midsole, the shoe delivers exceptional comfort, protection, and a surprisingly lightweight ride. Engineered to help reduce strain on the feet, knees, and hips, Atmosfär™ 1 balances plush cushioning with responsive energy return for a smooth, effortless running experience mile after mile.

Built from direct athlete feedback, Atmosfär 1 was designed to help runners go farther while reducing the physical strain associated with high-mileage training. Throughout the development process, Tommy Rivs wore and tested early versions of the shoe during marathon training and competition, including the New York City Marathon and Boston Marathon, helping Craft refine the ride, comfort, and performance characteristics of the final product.

“We had been working on this design for almost two years,” said Sam Larson, Lead Footwear Designer for Craft Sportswear. “Getting to work directly with Tommy Rivs and his idea for a shoe that would make you float was incredibly inspiring. The result is Atmosfär 1, a 51mm max-cushion shoe with a ride we’ve never experienced before. Countless prototypes and testing led us to the finish line.”
