Don’t Call It a Liner! The New Base Glove From Point6

December 10, 2020

A merino wool, 3-season glove with the power of 37.5 dynamic nylon

Steamboat Springs, CO – Point6, the family-owned manufacturer of superior merino wool socks, base layers and accessories has introduced the Base Glove, a seamless, fast-drying glove for all your cool and cold weather fun.

By now, everyone knows that products made with merino wool keep you drier than any synthetic fiber. But using merino in a glove, which needs more structural nylon than a hat or a sock, is a challenge for a product designer.

The solution: the dynamic nylon called 37.5.

It contains active natural particles that increase the surface area of the fiber, allowing it to use body heat to evaporate moisture in vapor form (BEFORE it becomes sweat) which enhances body temperature regulation and humidity next to the skin. Unlike a neutral fiber like nylon, 37.5 performs like merino wool.

Using 37.5 plus an advanced 3D knit process results in a form-fitting, quick-drying and seamless glove that will transition from fall runs to winter fat bike adventures and be ready when the snow melts in spring.

  • Quick dry tech of 37.5 nylon with merino wool
  • Sleek profile with a 3D knit for seamless performance
  • Touch screen enabled thumb and finger

Composition: 34% Nylon / 33% 37.5 Cocona Polyester / 22% Merino Wool / 11% Spandex
