Hillsound Supporting Local Retailers Through Donation of Online Sales

Vancouver, BC (May 11, 2020) – Hillsound Equipment, the leading producer of winter traction equipment and gaiters for urban and outdoor enthusiasts, is making changes across its organization in an effort to support local independent retailers that may be affected by COVID-19.
Hillsound Equipment, recognizing the impact that retailers have on their community, has implemented a way to redirect 15% of their online sales to local independent retailers. Upon checkout, customers shopping on either hillsound.ca or hillsound.com can allocate Hillsound’s donation to a retailer in their community. Customers can type the retailer’s name in the notes section of the checkout page and can reference the Storemapper page if they are unsure of a dealer in their area. Because this program is intended to help smaller independent retailers, this program does not apply to big box stores or online only retailers. Nominations to these retailers will instead be donated to efforts to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.
