Emerging Seattle brand recognized for Gas Growler
Seattle, WA – February 6, 2020 – Ignik, an emerging brand committed to improving the sustainability of outdoor heating products, proudly announces it was named an Innovation Award winner at the recent Outdoor Retailer + Snow Show in Denver, CO. Ignik was honored for its flagship product, the Gas Growler, which launched last fall and presents an inventive solution to single-use propane heating options.
The Outdoor Retailer Innovation Awards recognize products, brands, and retailers working to make an impact through design, functionality, sustainability, and the ability to inspire. Ignik’s Gas Growler was selected as a finalist out of 174 entries and named one of 15 winners during a live ceremony at the Outdoor Retailer + Snow Show.
“This kind of recognition is so validating, especially for a new brand on the scene,” says Ignik founder and CEO Graeme Esarey. “Ignik was born from a desire to create outdoor heating products that work better for people and the planet, and the Gas Growler is truly an elegant solution to a widespread environmental problem. We’re extremely honored to receive this award from an incredible panel of experts and industry peers.”
The Gas Growler is a refillable, long-lasting, zero-waste solution to providing heat in the outdoors. Featuring an insulated five-pound propane tank contained in a rugged and easy to carry case, the Gas Growler packs the heating power of five single-use green propane bottles and will easily connect to common propane-fueled devices. Each tank will last 12 years and can replace hundreds of disposable bottles that would end up in the landfill.
Our journey started on a family sailboat in the Arctic, where we saw the impact of climate change and human jetsam on the landscapes we love. We decided to “be the change” by creating products that actually work—and work for the planet. Today Ignik makes high quality, environmentally thoughtful heating products for the wilderness. We enable more folks to get outside earlier and remain outside longer. Ignik is a proud member of 1% for the Planet. For more information, visit Ignik.com.
