KUIU Releases Next Evolution of its Flagship Pack System with the ICON 6

July 16, 2026 – Dixon, CA /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – KUIU, a leader in high-performance hunting gear and apparel, launches the all-new ICON 6 Pack System, the sixth generation of the pack platform that helped define ultralight backpack hunting. Built around a patent-pending 3D Carbon Fiber Frame and an entirely redesigned suspension system, the ICON 6 delivers significantly improved load-carrying comfort, greater durability, and a simpler, more intuitive user experience.

First introduced in 2011, the original ICON Pack System changed the hunting industry with its modular design and carbon fiber frame architecture. For the ICON 6, KUIU started from a clean sheet of paper, retaining only the modular DNA that allows hunters to swap bags while using the same frame and suspension. Every major component has been redesigned to improve performance in the mountains.

At the heart of the system is a new patent-pending 3D corrugated carbon frame featuring Flex-Forward™ Geometry and premium Toray® thermoplastic carbon fiber. The frame is taller, wider, and stronger while remaining exceptionally lightweight, providing the stability of an external frame pack with the sleek profile and efficiency of a carbon frame system. A wider, more supportive suspension improves load distribution across the hips, shoulders, and back, delivering greater comfort under heavy loads.

Available in four sizes, 3500, 4500, 6000, and 8200 cubic inches, the ICON 6 lineup covers everything from gear-heavy day hunts to extended backcountry expeditions. New bag designs move weight higher and closer to the body for improved balance, while strategically placed waterproof CORDURA® fabrics, premium YKK® zippers, upgraded compression systems, and simplified load-hauling functionality make the packs more capable and easier to use in the field.
