New By-Women-For-Women MTB Apparel Brand Moonspin Launches the Hemp Adventure Short

BOZEMAN, Mont. While most performance MTB wear leans on black-on-black or brightly patterned polyester, the Hemp Adventure Short comes in two bold, natural colorways – High Noon and Blue Spruce – and is cut from a durable, breathable, stretchy textile of 54% hemp, 44% Tencel® (a biodegradable eucalyptus wood-pulp fiber), and 2% spandex.

“These shorts throw a handful of fresh-picked huckleberries right in the face of performance MTB wear,” said Lindsay Ryder, founder of Moonspin. “They’re for the rider who wants the stretch and durability to shred, wrapped up in style that will never see a race podium. I designed the short that I always wanted and nobody else was making.”

Workwear-inspired styling includes functional details like porkchop rear pockets, tool pockets, and a zippered phone pocket. A high-rise back waist is hip-pack friendly and offers coverage and comfort on the bike, while a gusseted crotch construction and just-right length round out the bike-specific fit features that set the Hemp Adventure Short apart from more typical options.

Colorways are inspired by the paces we bike, grounded in Moonspin’s ethos of honoring the places where we find adventure and evoking the light and landscape of sun-dappled mountain trails: High Noon, a warm golden hue that captures the glow of midday light through the trees, and Blue Spruce, a deep blue with hints of green inspired by the rich tones of alpine forests.
