SEATTLE April 29, 2020- Nuun Hydration is proud to welcome Cody Kelley to their roster of sponsored athletes for the 2020 season. Kelley will be the first athlete to wear a custom Nuun-branded helmet, a move that points to an evolution in Nuun’s athlete sponsorship strategy.
Based in Salt Lake City, Cody Kelley got his start racing BMX at the age of 5. After some injuries in his teen years, Cody made the switch from BMX racing to mountain bike racing where his love of the rugged outdoors was paired with his love of, what he calls “life on two wheels”. Today he is known as a fast, stylish rider specializing in Enduro and Dual Slalom competitions. In 2019, Cody placed seventh in the 2019 EWS Northstar California Individual and received First Place as a member of Team USA in the EWS Trophy of Nations 2019.
Over the next several weeks Nuun and Kelley will be collaborating on the design of a custom branded helmet. Helmet branding partnerships are common with beverages like Red Bull and Monster, but this is the first sponsorship of this nature from Nuun Hydration.

As COVID-19 has necessitated the cancellation of competitive cycling events for the next several months, Kelley says he plans to spend this time training both on and off his bike to reenter the racing scene as a strong, dynamic competitor.
