RV Shipments Fall DD in May; Van Campers Surge YTD

The RV Industry Association (RVIA) is reporting that manufacturers found that total RV shipments ended May 2026 with 22,900 units shipped, a decline of 18.7 percent compared to the 28,150 units shipped in May 2025.  

For the year-to-date (YTD) period through May, shipments are down 14.4 percent, with 138,160 RVs shipped through five months compared to 161,373 shipped in the comparable YTD period last year.

Towable RVs, led by conventional travel trailers, ended the month down 21.3 percent from May 2025 with 19,679 shipments. Folding Camping Trailers were the only Towables sub-category to post an increase for the month.   SGB MEDIA
