North Face Parent VF Tops Wall Street Fiscal Q1 Targets but Sales Flat on Continued Vans Weakne

VF Corp. reported a first-quarter loss ended June 28, but the loss was smaller, and sales were higher than company guidance and Wall Street expectations. Sales were flat, with strong gains at The North Face and Timberland offsetting a 14 percent decline in Vans due to inventory rationalization. Excluding Vans, revenue rose 6 percent. SGB MEDIA
