Swany Redefines the Future of Warmth: A Heritage Brand Reignited with Innovation and Global Vision
November 17, 2025

Renowned performance glove brand introduces 14 new styles and expands its partnerships with leading technology innovators for FW26
Gloversville, NY (November 17th, 2025) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – As Swany enters 2026, it does so with a renewed sense of direction and a growing momentum that reflects both its heritage and its future. Known for over a century of glove craftsmanship, the brand now moves into a new era marked by stronger global alignment, committed leadership, and deeper collaboration with its design headquarters in Japan. The shift brings a fresh creative perspective to the entire Swany organization and sets the foundation for meaningful growth in the seasons ahead.
“There’s a renewed energy across every part of Swany right now,” says Todd Givnish, VP of Sales. “Our team is expanding, our partnerships are growing deeper, and we’re innovating with purpose. For decades, skiers and riders have trusted Swany for expert craftsmanship and warmth in the mountains. Today, we’re building on that legacy with fresh ideas, inspired design, and collaboration across continents.”
The momentum behind Swany’s growth follows a milestone 2025 that included record sales, refreshed branding, and an energized product development cycle led from Japan. The strong response to styles such as the Calore Mitt and Vento Glove, along with renewed interest in iconic families like X-Cell and Toaster, signaled that the brand’s updated design vision resonates with today’s ski and snowboard core. This response reaffirmed the continued creative direction for 2026 and solidified Swany’s role as a trusted name in warmth and craftsmanship.
A key driver of Swany’s resurgence is the strengthened collaboration between its North American and Japanese teams. This connection sharpened even further when Chief Executive Officer Yuki Kumoi joined the brand in 2023, relocating from Japan to Gloversville, New York, where Swany’s century-old roots began. His presence in the U.S. and his close work with the growing leadership team have helped realign the brand around the needs of today’s consumer.
The shift that began with the 18 new styles in FW25 continues to shape the 14 new styles developed for FW26. This renewed direction has also influenced Swany’s approach to technology, leading to partnerships with ewool® and Solarcore® as the brand explores new ways to advance warmth and modern performance. These collaborations support Swany’s first heated glove, the Nexus, and the new Apex Pro series for 2026.
“At Swany, delivering warmth has always been at the heart of what we do,” says Yuki Kumoi, Chief Executive Officer of Swany. “What feels different this season is the creative energy behind our work. There is a cultural shift happening within the brand, and it is influencing how we think, design, and build. Consumers and retail partners could already see that change in our FW25 line, and their positive feedback reinforced our direction. This moment feels like the beginning of a new era, and the FW26 collection reflects that momentum.”
As Swany continues to evolve, the brand stands at a meaningful point in its history. New key styles, expanded technology partnerships, and a revitalized creative culture reflect a company moving with intention and confidence while staying true to the craftsmanship and trust that have defined Swany for generations.
