Näak Levels Up U.S. Investment: The Canadian sports nutrition brand adds to staff, opens new U.S. headquarters, and doubles down on partnerships

OGDEN, Utah (November 19, 2025) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/Canadian sports nutrition company Näak has increased their investment in the U.S. market by adding a country headquarters, additional country-specific staff and agency resources, and in-market activations. Näak was founded in 2016 with a mission to create healthy and sustainable sports nutrition, without making any compromises to performance. The products they make are formulated to provide anything an athlete’s body needs, while eliminating anything the planet doesn’t.

The brand initially positioned itself in the ultrarunning market, and has grown into a household name in that culture, while also being the official nutrition sponsor for UTMB’s premier global trail race series since 2023. While their roots are in ultrarunning, Näak develops and produces bars, gels, waffles, energy drink mixes, purees, and complete recovery drink mixes for any endurance athlete who strives to go all-in—whether that means chasing their 10th ultra, or their first 10k fun-run.

Launching on the heels of the successful Ultra Energy™ line, which was developed to provide all-day energy for ultra-endurance athletes through a complete nutrition package, providing long-lasting energy by including protein, carbs, fats, and electrolytes, the company launched Boost Energy™ gels and drink mixes in early 2025. Näak U.S. Country Manager, Mike Ambrose, who was hired in early 2025 to grow the brand in the country, now oversees two full-time employees—a sports marketing manager and a customer success manager—along with 12 sales representatives spread out across the country. The company has also invested in working with Press Forward, a PR agency that specializes in outdoor and endurance sports communications.

We’ve seen what’s worked for the brand in Canada and Europe, and we’re well on our way toward adjusting those tactics and executing for American runners.”

Following a season of activating at races across the U.S, Ambrose and his team will be exhibiting at The Running Event in San Antonio, Texas December 2-4. The brand will be sampling exclusive new products and flavors at the booth, meeting with retailers, and will also be sponsoring Thursday morning’s Indie 5k where Ultra Energy waffles, bars, drink mix will be available to sample, alongside their Complete Recovery Mix. Throughout the show Näak will also be running a raffle for all retailers, with a drawing held before the show closes on Thursday.
