Leave No Trace Provides Free Youth Materials to Celebrate 250 Years of America’s Public Lands

Posters, workbooks for kids, and resources for public lands agencies are now available to download at LNT.org/America-250

Boulder, CO (May 14, 2026) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – To celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, Leave No Trace has partnered with the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management to launch a national campaign centered on the importance of caring for public lands. The campaign encourages young people, families, educators, and outdoor enthusiasts to celebrate America’s parks, forests, and open spaces and learn Leave No Trace practices so we can protect the next 250 years.

In 2026, Leave No Trace hopes to provide online learning experiences for more than 25,000 individuals, with most of the classes available at no cost to participants. The classes are available in multiple languages and are proving popular with outdoor enthusiasts around the globe.
