DPS and PHANTOM Glide Promote Billy Demong to New Role at DPS Defense Solutions

SALT LAKE CITY (December 9, 2025) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ — Utah-based ski industry manufacturers DPS Skis and PHANTOM Glide announce the promotion of Olympic Gold Medalist Billy Demong to the role of defense solutions specialist within DPS Defense Solutions, which produces combat specific skis for U.S. and allied forces. In this new position, Demong will contribute to the research and development of Over Snow Mobility technologies, lead soldier training efforts, and serve as a liaison for defense sales.

Since joining DPS in 2024, Demong has led strategic product development at PHANTOM Glide, spearheading the creation and launch of PHANTOM Glide Nordic in spring 2025. Prior to joining the company, Demong spent 18 years on the US Ski Team and is the only American to ever win an Olympic Gold Medal in Nordic skiing, winning the Nordic Combined event in the 2010 Vancouver Games.
