February 9, 2026

A Limited Edition SkyFlask commemorating the race will drop for fans and participants in the lead up to the iconic ultramarathon

Oakland, CA (February 9, 2026) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/HydraPak, the global leader in high-performance hydration solutions, has been named the Official Hydration System Partner for the 2026 Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run (WSER), the world’s oldest 100-mile trail race. The partnership will support the 53rd running of the iconic event, scheduled for June 27, 2026, and will include the release of a limited edition HydraPak SkyFlask designed exclusively for the race.

The Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run, established in 1974, is recognized as a premier ultramarathon event, attracting elite athletes and passionate trail runners from around the globe. The race traverses 100 miles of rugged terrain from Olympic Valley to Auburn, California, and is renowned for its rich history, deep competition, and challenging temperature swings.

“We are incredibly excited to be partnering with HydraPak,” WSER Race Director Craig Thornley said. “WSER has always been about improving human performance through the most inspiring ways possible. We believe that this is at the essence of what HydraPak represents to the community of endurance athletes that the brand serves — to inspire and elevate people by providing cutting-edge improvements in how they tackle these incredible endeavors. We believe that this partnership is going to inspire our latest generation of runners to even greater heights than before.”

Athlete performance is at the core of all of HydraPak’s designs. Through years of iteration and testing, HydraPak has become ubiquitous with the running community — collaborating with hundreds of brands to redefine hydration systems for athletes. The conditions at WSER have always made it a proving ground for innovative equipment and design, and many of the top finishers at the race depend on HydraPak’s products to get them across the finish line.

“For years, athletes at Western States have relied on HydraPak products to stay hydrated throughout the event,” said Jennifer Krupey, Vice President of Marketing at HydraPak. “Becoming an official partner is a meaningful next step for us. It reflects our deep commitment to the endurance community and our pride in supporting runners as they take on one of the most iconic challenges in trail running.”

To celebrate this new partnership, HydraPak will be launching an exclusive limited edition 500ml SkyFlask, available for purchase leading up to and at the event. The striking design incorporates line art inspired by the rugged granite peaks of the Sierra, which help visualize the daunting vertical profile of the race. The actual course, pulled from topo maps, shows the winding race route and marks the many legendary aid stations along the way. Like every SkyFlask Speed it’s topped with HydraPak’s SpeedFill™ Cap for quick refills on the go.

As part of the sponsorship, HydraPak will provide custom Tempo bottles with the WSER logo to all racers.
