Mainers gloves and Flowfold select Pale Morning Media to increase brand visibility for duo of Maine-made brands
September 10, 2025
PORTLAND, MAINE (September 10, 2025) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ — Pale Morning Media, a national public relations and strategic communications agency specializing in the outdoor world, has been tapped as the agency of record for a pair of Maine-made innovators: Mainers and Flowfold.
The Mainers glove collection debuted in 2019 and includes 10 stylish and functional designs that blend modern styling with decades of technical expertise making cryogenic protective gear for professionals working in temperatures below −200 degrees, an environment significantly frostier than even the coldest New England winter day.
Launched in 2010, Flowfold creates iconic minimalist designs from upcycled sail cloth and other reused materials. Their striking collection of essentials includes wallets, bags, packs and other accessories. Flowfold began as the solution to a problem, as founder Charles Friedman got the brand underway by sewing a new wallet for his grandfather from scraps of racing sailcloth taken from trash at the Maine sail loft where he worked.
Both brands operate under the same ownership, both are 100% made in Maine with factories in Gorham and Trenton, and both also represent a modern vision of craftsmanship that draws inspiration from their northern New England roots while appealing to a global audience.
“Pale Morning Media has built a reputation for helping brands tell their stories with heart and honesty, while driving meaningful connections with consumers,” said Ponch Membreño, commercial director for Mainers and Flowfold. “We’re pleased to partner with this team of outdoor industry veterans to amplify the voices of both Mainers and Flowfold as we continue to grow.”
Pale Morning Media will support both Mainers and Flowfold through media relations and strategic support, highlighting the brands’ innovative and stylish product, their shared values of durability and responsibility and the significant benefits of their domestic manufacturing operations.
“There’s obviously a ton of upside to being made locally right now. But one of the biggest upsides is how the final product benefits immensely from having design and manufacturing under the same roof. You can tell right away by how it looks, how it performs and how it lasts,” said Drew Simmons, president of Pale Morning Media. “Both Mainers and Flowfold combine true manufacturing integrity with a refined design approach, and the results speak for themselves.”
