Winnebago Says Latest Iowa Layoffs Needed To Optimize Manufacturing Footprint

According to a report from the Des Moines Reporter, Winnebago is making another round of layoffs as it closes facilities in Charles City and Waverly, Iowa.

The RV maker said it would lay off 77 employees at its Waverly Production Facility and 18 at its Charles City Campus, effective Sept. 8. The remaining 26 Charles City employees will be laid off Dec. 12, according to notices filed on Iowa’s Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification, or WARN, website.

In all, the layoffs affect 121 workers. RV-Pro
