LifeLabs, a Materials Science Company, and Kingwhale, a Performance Textile Manufacturer, Announce Strategic Partnership Advancing Temperature-Regulating Textiles Across Performance and Lifestyle Markets

October 30, 2025

Collaboration integrates LifeLabs’ CoolLife® and WarmLife® technologies into Kingwhale’s premium fabric portfolio

SAN FRANCISCO and TAIPEI /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ LifeLabs®, a materials science company pioneering temperature-regulating textiles for a more sustainable future, today announced a strategic partnership with Kingwhale, a global leader in high-performance fabric manufacturing. The collaboration integrates LifeLabs’ CoolLife® and WarmLife® technologies into Kingwhale’s diverse range of knits, wovens, and future developments, delivering new levels of thermoregulation and comfort to brands and consumers worldwide.

WarmLife is a patented infrared-reflective textile that helps the body retain its natural heat, delivering exceptional warmth with less bulk and weight. CoolLife is the world’s first infrared-transparent fabric that releases the body’s natural heat to keep wearers cooler and more comfortable in warm conditions. It provides a unique cooling benefit that is instantly noticeable, continuously acting, and permanent.

Through this partnership, Kingwhale’s partners gain access to proprietary fabric technologies that enhance thermal performance without added weight or bulk. By incorporating LifeLabs’ temperature-regulating technologies into its production, Kingwhale expands its ability to deliver next-generation fabric solutions that combine comfort, performance, and sustainability. The two companies will also collaborate on exploring new low-impact and ocean-safe iterations of LifeLabs’ patented technology.

“Our goal at Kingwhale has always been to make high-performance feel effortless,” said James Huang, CEO of Kingwhale. “Integrating CoolLife gives our fabrics inherent thermoregulating properties. Instead of the fabric just sitting there, it actively works with your body’s natural cooling process to ward off overheating and keep you consistently comfortable.”

For LifeLabs, the partnership is a significant milestone in scaling its patented infrared-transparent (IR) and infrared-reflective textile technologies through a globally recognized manufacturing partner.

“This collaboration allows LifeLabs to extend the science of thermoregulation across more product categories, from outdoor and activewear to everyday lifestyle apparel,” said Sophia Ou, co-Founder and CEO of LifeLabs. “Through Kingwhale’s trusted global network, we can bring our validated, university-backed technology to more consumers, making climate-conscious comfort part of daily life and outdoor adventure alike.”
