Fall 2026: HEAD Unveils Winter Collection Built Around Progressive Performance and Enhanced Safety

February 24, 2026

BOULDER, Colo. (February 24, 2026) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ HEAD, the leading global manufacturer of premium winter sports equipment, today unveiled its Winter 2026/27 collection, headlined by the all-new DISCOVERY ski platform. The lineup also features the new low-volume KALIBER PRO LV boot, as well as advancements in the PROTECTOR binding series, and new product releases in the NEVES SUNSCREEN CONTROL goggle and YUKI kids’ helmet line.

The centerpiece of HEAD’s new collection is DISCOVERY, an all-mountain ski engineered to be light, agile, and stable. Built with HEAD’s new Superframe Construction with Auxetic Technology, DISCOVERY delivers a progressive flex – the harder you push, the more support and stability the ski returns. Encased in a superframe construction and sandwiched between two layers of elastomer, the auxetic material expands under load, dynamically stiffening the ski as forces increase. The result is stronger edge grip, smoother damping, and a stable, confident feel.

The DISCOVERY lineup includes nine skis with waist widths ranging from 74–86 mm. The DISCOVERY PRO provides advanced skiers with strong edge hold and stability in mixed and frontside conditions, while the DISCOVERY SPORT offers a more forgiving, approachable option with smooth flex and easy turn initiation – ideal for progressing skiers who want to maintain stability without added stiffness.

In the boot category, HEAD expands its high-performance, all-mountain KALIBER collection with a new low-volume model designed for a precise fit and enhanced energy transmission. The KALIBER PRO LV features the highly customizable BOA® Fit System, delivering a new level of precision and performance. A new placement of the lower BOA dial, relocated to the upper cuff, creates a sleek and simple lower boot profile. This allows skiers to achieve higher edge angles without interference, as well as easier entry and exit of the boot.

HEAD’s Bi-Injected Shell Construction pairs stiff plastic for power with softer materials that enhance fit and wrap in conjunction with the BOA system. The Integrated Power Plate in the sole improves energy transfer and responsiveness, while the new 98 mm last ensures a truly precise fit.

In bindings, the new PROTECTOR+ and PROTECTOR EVO series now feature the Full Heel Release (FHR) Technology, reducing ACL strain during backward-twisting falls while preserving the powerful, precise ski feel athletes expect. The PROTECTOR+ FREEFLEX brings multidirectional heel release to the race category for high-speed carving and Worldcup-inspired precision, while the PROTECTOR+ ATTACK brings FHR safety to freeride skiers with a lower 21 mm stand height for improved contact with the snow. For all-mountain piste skiing, the PROTECTOR EVO now incorporates FHR and upgraded Backward Twisting Restraint (BTR) toe kinematics – a specialized safety feature that releases the toe during backward twisting falls.

The new NEVES SUNSCREEN CONTROL GOGGLES feature Solar Controlled Lens Tint technology that automatically adapts to changing light conditions – from bright sun requiring darker tints to cloudy or flat light needing lighter tints. In stormy conditions, skiers can deactivate the auto-tint mode for a fixed bright setting, ensuring consistent clarity and control in all environments.

Rounding out the collection, the new YUKI kids’ helmet series brings modern impact-absorbing construction, and optimized coverage to young skiers and riders. Designed with a low-profile silhouette and kid-approved graphics, YUKI helmets deliver trusted protection without the bulk, keeping kids comfortable and secure from first chair to hot chocolate break. Intuitive adjustment systems make it easy for parents to dial in a precise fit, while integrated ventilation and cozy liners keep young riders happy across changing conditions.

The fall 2026/27 lineup will be available through retailers and HEAD.com beginning in Fall 2026. For more information about HEAD and its full collection of winter sports equipment, visit HEAD.com.
