Athleisure Eyewear Article One Unveils 2022 Summer ACTIVE Collection Debuting Industry-Leading Frame Technology

Collection to include new colors of Article One’s best-selling sunglasses and one frame dedicating 100% of profits to cancer research
FLINT, Mich. (July 26, 2022) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Article One, the independent eyewear brand championing craftsmanship to design heirloom, athleisure frames, today announced the launch of its ACTIVE collection. The five-piece collection blends Article One’s signature technical innovation with luxury and vintage styling by introducing a material that allows for more color richness, lighter-weight frames, enhanced flexibility, and more scratch-resistance than traditional performance sunglasses.

All five frames in the 2022 ACTIVE launch are made with hexetate, a patented acrylic resin with superior technical and mechanical properties that allow for improved flexibility, enhanced shape memory even when exposed to high temperatures, a lighter weight, and added durability. Compared to most performance eyewear that utilizes traditional acetate and TR-90 plastic, hexetate requires less processing thereby reducing carbon footprints and excludes BPA, DEP and toxins.
Each style in the summer collection is constructed with CR39 polarized lenses with backside anti-reflective coating that blocks 100% of UVA/UVB rays and prevents road glare. The frames also boast signature adjustable nose pads, rubber temple tips, and spring hinges.
The 2022 ACTIVE collection will also include a revival of Article One’s best-selling style, the Moon, plus four new timeless silhouettes headlined by The H – a unisex, moto racer-inspired frame which will donate 100% of profits to The H Foundation to support general cancer research.
