New Performance Eyewear Brand Taps Groundswell to Drive Industry and Consumer Awareness

New Smyrna Beach, FL (Mar.26 2021) – Bajio, manufacturer of high-end performance fishing and lifestyle sunglasses, is excited to announce its partnership with Groundswell PR. Groundswell will establish an integrated communications strategy, increasing industry and consumer awareness around Bajio’s groundbreaking blue-light filtering technology, as well as their environmental and philanthropic efforts in communities that depend on saltwater flats.

Bajio, Spanish for “the shallows”, draws inspiration from flats around the world and seeks to bring sustainably built sunglasses featuring blue light filtering lenses to the market. The brand strives to minimize its impact on the planet and the oceans in two different ways; by working with saltwater communities around the world to tackle environmental issues such as ocean trash, and through sustainable business practices. Frames are constructed from plant-based materials including castor beans and coconut husks, and lenses are made from recyclable glass. The sunglass cases are made from unused materials from the manufacturing of other glasses cases, and all products are shipped in 100% recycled packaging.
