New Hampshire conservation officers rescued a Boston man and three teens he was leading on a hike Saturday night after the group found themselves unprepared for a “dangerous” trail in the White Mountains, according to the state Fish and Game Department.
Jonathan Long, 26, was leading three teens aged 13 and 14 up Mount Liberty and over to Mount Flume that day when a “dangerous” decision was made to descend the Flume Slide Trail, the department said in a press release. The group was trying to loop back to a different trail, but was unfamiliar with the hiking area. MassLive
