Boulder Boatworks Expands Brand Footprint

May 14, 2024

Shaun Hargrave, Director of Sales, Relocating to Missoula and Transitioning into Sales Rep Role

Carbondale, COLORADO /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – After 6 years with the company, thousands of river miles, and hundreds of customer relationships cultivated, Shaun Hargrave, Director of Sales, is transitioning to a new role to expand the Boulder Boatworks footprint.

In an effort to increase visibility and sales – Shaun’s seasoned sales experience will be leveraged as the brand’s new independent sales representative in the Northern Rockies (Montana, Idaho, & Wyoming).

A note from Shaun Hargrave…

“It is with great excitement and nostalgia that I sit down to write this note. Cutting right to the chase Daisy and I will be moving the family to Missoula, Montana. Missoula has long been a part of Boulder Boat Works’ history, and we are excited to advance our presence in the Northern Rockies. We look forward to raising our family on the local waters and within the community.

To accommodate this move, I will be stepping down from my role and interest in the company to become an independent sales rep. This move is necessary to keep strong leadership at Boulder HQ and will allow me to be present in the Northern Rockies. I will be rowing my Boulder Skiff this summer and look forward to showing off over a boat ramp beer or even setting up some time to get on the water for a demo. If you see Georgie, our black and white GSP pointing fish from the boat, give us a holler!”

What does that mean at Boulder Boat Works Headquarters in Carbondale, CO?

While there will be a massive hole left with the departure of Hargrave from day-to-day business operations – the brand is continuing to evolve and move forward with new responsibilities and roles for existing leadership.

Trevor Hanson will continue his role as Master Builder and Production Lead as the Managing Partner of Operations. Shaun Cagley will make the leap to Managing Partner of Commercial overseeing the brand’s sales, marketing, and business development efforts. Boulder’s team of skilled craftsmen will continue to hand craft high end drift boats.

Said Shaun Cagley, Managing Partner of Commercial for Boulder, “The ‘Gravedigger’ has been a huge part of our brand for the past six years. It will not be easy to replace his passion and commitment to building the best drift boats on the market but the show must go on. We are really looking forward to seeing what Shaun can do in this new role and are excited to see him happy and thriving in a place he loves.”
