A Long-Awaited Reusable Alternative to Single Use Plastic Bottles

Portland, OR (October 8, 2025) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ — After years of development and amidst an increasing market demand, Cnoc Outdoors is proud to announce the launch of the ThruBottle – a durable, reusable, ultralight bottle made for long-distance hikers and everyday adventurers alike.

Since opening in 2016, Cnoc Outdoors has built a reputation for gear that’s innovative, trail-tested, and inspired by real user feedback. Perhaps no product has been more requested than a reusable replacement for 1 liter single use plastic bottles – a style of bottle that is preferred by long distance backpackers for their slim profile and 28mm thread compatibility, but are not designed to be safely reused.

The ThruBottle is the result of multiple years of design, testing, and refinement. The final product is a patent-pending, one-liter bottle that’s lightweight, slim, and safe to use over the course of a long hike. Designed with ultralight backpackers in mind, it features a 28mm thread to ensure compatibility with popular filters, while being constructed from safe, durable materials intended for long-term use.

“After the success of the Vecto in 2018, the natural step for me was to try and find a way to stop treating single use plastics as a reusable product – in my own gear kit, I needed a better water bottle solution. In the process of development we came up with the Vesica, a collapsible water bottle that lead to more and more users seeing us as makers of bottles too, and not just the Vecto,” says Cnoc Outdoors founder Gilad Nachmani. “With the increased concern around single use plastic in hiking and backpacking, our users began requesting an additional hard sided alternative. After years of development to find reusable and lightweight materials compatible with our signature 28mm thread, we are finally ready to offer the ThruBottle.”

After a successful soft launch at Pacific Crest Trail Days in August, the ThruBottle is available now exclusively on cnocoutdoors.com with a wholesale release to follow.
