Crazy Creek launches final limited-edition Rachel Pohl collaboration Hex 2.0 chair
March 26, 2026

The launch of the Mountain Lupine colorway in the Hex 2.0 rounds out the brand’s three-part collaboration series with artist Rachel Pohl.
RED LODGE, Mont. (March 26, 2026) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Crazy Creek Products, the original backcountry chair brand, announces the launch of the third and final chair in its Limited Edition Artist Collaboration Series with artist Rachel Pohl. The final release features the Crazy Creek Hex 2.0 Chair in the new Mountain Lupine print, completing the trilogy following the Snow Ghost and Pine Creek colorways.
This print from Montana-born and Norway-based artist Pohl is based on her “High Country Bison” painting, which depicts bison standing alone in a field of lupine in twilight.
“The fact that wildflowers bloom after the bleakness of winter is proof that color and warmth return, even after the hardest seasons. The lupines on this chair are a symbol of renewal, resilience, and the promise of a new chapter – one full of gentle sunshine, buzzing bees, and time spent being present with the world around us,” said Rachel Pohl. “I wanted to capture that feeling of a whole summer stretching out before us and incorporate it into something you can actually take with you on your travels, adventures, and relaxation missions. This Crazy Creek chair is covered in my hand-painted lupines, a dream come true since I’ve been using these chairs for over 30 years. May this be the chair you bring along for all your wildflower picnics, slow evenings by the lake, or quiet moments watching the light change on peaks in the backcountry.”
Built for time spent outdoors, the Hex 2.0 Chair is lightweight, compact, and easy to pack. It rolls up to just 4 inches in diameter and clips directly to a backpack, making it an ideal seat for backpacking, hiking, camping, festivals, and anywhere space and weight matter.
The Hex 2.0 Chair features tough ripstop polyester construction with reinforced rubber, durable nylon hinges, and Crazy Creek’s signature wing design. Carbon-reinforced fiberglass support stays provide reliable back support for long sits, while 8 mm high-density cored EVA closed-cell foam delivers insulation and comfort without adding bulk.
A durable water repellent (DWR) coating, made without PFAS, protects from wet ground and makes the chair easy to clean. Adjustable side straps allow users to fine-tune their recline, from more upright to laid-back.
This chair is backed by Crazy Creek’s limited lifetime warranty.
The first drop in the series, the Pine Creek colorway, featuring the “paintbrush and asters” print from Pohl’s “August Paintbrush” painting, as well as the Snow Ghost colorway featuring Pohl’s painting “The Snowy Path,” is still available now at crazycreek.com.
