Outdoors True Crime Podcast Promotes Awareness

/OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Dark Outdoors, the media platform created by nationally-recognized wildlife journalist and investigator Chester Moore has received a prestigious honor.

“Journey Into the Dark Outdoors”, a documentary written, produced and hosted by Moore and filmed and edited by Paul Fuzinski of Aptitude Outdoors was awarded “Best Video” by the Texas Outdoor Writers Association at their annual banquet in Port Arthur.

“It’s an honor to be recognized by TOWA and to help get the word out on what Dark Outdoors is all about,” Moore said.

“This documentary and the Dark Outdoors podcast seeks to shine light on the rising crime and human-wildlife conflict in the great outdoors. Very few in the outdoor media will touch this topic so I am of course diving right in head first.”

The documentary was filmed in the swamps of Arkansas in 2022.

“When I told Paul about the opportunity to film something on this topic he jumped at the chance. You need someone bold and energetic to cover this kind of dark, challenging content,” Moore said.

Moore added his goal is to raise awareness to what’s happening in the outdoors and save lives.

“Since covid, there are more people using the outdoors than at any point in history in America. What they’re not being told is about the big increase in criminal elements, psychos and dangerous wildlife in the same beautiful areas we use to fish, hunt, camp and hike. It’s not about scaring people but informing them so they can enjoy the outdoors and get back home to their families.”

Dark Outdoors is available on Apple Music, Spotify, IHeartradio, Amazon and all major podcasting platforms.

“Journey Into the Dark Outdoors” the documentary will be released to the general public this summer.
