Giro Announces Four New Collaborations: Autumn, POW, Bryan Fox, and Namuk

February 1, 2021

These special edition collections bring clean design and forward-thinking to Giro’s ‘22 product line

Giro Sport Design, the leader in high-performance snow helmets and goggles, today announced four product collaborations for their Fall ‘21 line. Giro continues its long-standing relationship with Protect Our Winters, debuts a collection with apparel makers Autumn, showcases a goggle project with snowboarder Bryan Fox, and expands its kid’s line with Swiss brand, Namuk. These product collaborations will be available starting Fall 2021 from authorized Giro retailers worldwide and on www.giro.com.

“These product collaborations bring to life some of the most exciting stories of the season,” says Marketing Director Dain Zaffke. “By partnering with these brands, individuals and organizations, we’re able to do more than just sell stuff; we’re working together to deliver unmet needs on snow.”

Giro x Bryan Fox

Bryan Fox stands out with his ideas and creativity just as much as his riding. His artwork is featured in a limited-edition Axis goggle, which represents his upbringing in the desert and his life as a professional snowboarder. The desert camo pattern, camouflage hydro film on the goggle frame, and his illustration of the western rattlesnake (hidden on the inside of the strap) speak to Bryan’s roots in Ramona, California. Even the goggle bag itself has a sublimated rattlesnake skin bag that harkens back to the days he’d see these serpents around his hometown. Says Bryan, “I was raised by the desert and the forest, the sand, and the snow. These goggles help me see what comes next.” Keep an eye out for the children’s book that accompanies this collab, which will tell a tale from Ramona the Rattler’s perspective.

Giro x Autumn

Giro’s collaboration with Autumn headwear began with a mutual belief in the opportunity for new beginnings and a shared value system of drawing inspiration from the outdoors. Autumn’s earthy colors and tie-dye patterns are prominent throughout the Giro Ledge MIPS helmet, the webbing, and across the jacquard woven strap on the Method goggle. Both come with a matching tie-dye patterned bag.

Giro x Protect Our Winters

The launch of the ‘22 Giro x POW collaboration marks the fifth year the two have been working together to build awareness of the great work done by the team at Protect Our Winters. This season’s update features a clean design, updated POW badging, modern colorways across the Giro x POW Grid Spherical helmet and Contour goggle, and subtle winter landscape art that wraps around the goggle strap. Ultimately, this collaboration promotes climate awareness, as POW’s mission helps outdoor enthusiasts protect the places and lifestyles they love from climate change. A portion of the proceeds from the Giro x POW Grid Spherical helmet and Contour goggle will help support POW’s efforts of utilizing education, political advocacy, and community-based activism to reach millions and foster effective change.

Giro x Namuk

The fourth Giro collaboration featured for ‘22 is with Swiss brand Namuk. Designed with the adventurous two- to twelve-year-old shredders, this collaboration is all about a love for the outdoors. To make little ones’ first turns on the slopes more confident and comfortable, Giro teamed up with Namuk on the Giro x Namuk Crüe MIPS helmet, Buster goggle, and Chico goggle—all available in fun, kid-approved color palettes. The collection has been designed to fit together perfectly, offer an additional layer of protection and provide optimal visibility, all while handling the mischief from first days with mom and dad to ripping with the grom-squad on their own.
