Inaugural Edition of In-House Publication Marks Pivot to Print Media for the Land Marketplace Platform
Brainerd MN (March 19, 2026) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – HLRBO, the land marketplace and lease platform connecting rural landowners with buyers and lessees across the United States, today announced the launch of The Property Line, its inaugural in-house print newspaper.
The publication will be distributed to thousands of landowners nationwide, marking a strategic move into print media to reach an audience that is often underserved by digital channels.
The debut edition of The Property Line draws from a growing archive of more than 50 original articles, photos, and editorial features published on the HLRBO blog under the direction of editor Justin Park. Curated as a “greatest hits” collection from that body of work, the newspaper also incorporates current news and updates from the HLRBO platform.
“This is both a return to roots and a timely pivot,” said Stephen Regenold, a strategic advisor for HLRBO and a former New York Times reporter. “Print is a medium people can pick up, hold in their hands, and read. In an era of digital noise and chaos, newsprint feels fresh again.”
Distribution of The Property Line will target a curated list of landowners identified by HLRBO as a strong fit for its marketplace and lease platform. In addition, the newspaper will be seeded throughout small towns across the country by a network of HLRBO field representatives embedded in those communities.
The launch reflects HLRBO’s recognition that a significant portion of rural landowners in America are older and less engaged with digital media, making print a strategic advantage. Recent studies by Pew Research and the Medill School of Journalism have found rural audiences still favor and trust newspapers over online media. “By meeting customers where they are, HLRBO aims to deepen relationships while expanding our reach to new audiences,” said Heath Schubert, CEO and cofounder.
The Property Line goes to press in early April.
