Inspired by Elite Road Runners, HydraPak Launches Tempo Squeeze Bottle to Support Hydration Strategies

The hydration solutions company is encouraging all levels of runners to rethink fueling with a three-tiered approach

OAKLAND, Calif. (Jan. 26 , 2024) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – HydraPak®, global leader of high-performance hydration solutions, today launched its Tempo squeeze bottles, a durable, ergonomic product collection designed to help runners build effective hydration strategies. Influenced by the fueling habits and product preferences of top marathoners, HydraPak created the Tempo as a sleek, lightweight training and raceday bottle that is coded for key phases of fueling – hydrating, energizing and recovering. HydraPak believes the Tempo will address underfueling, a core performance issue in the sport, by encouraging runners of every level to plan for adequate hydration before, during and after exercise.

The Tempo was specifically designed for runners training for and competing in long distances. Distinct bottle colors represent the different phases of nutrition before, during and after exercise to help athletes develop their specific hydration strategy. Additionally, the color-coded bottles support habit forming and easy identification while racing or training.

The Tempo’s three-tiered approach is complemented by its performance-driven design, tested and approved by HydraPak’s athlete partners. Constructed of single-wall polypropylene with a soft-squeeze, ergonomic grip-groove, the Tempo is lightweight, comfortable to hold and made to last. A 42-millimeter opening allows for ice cubes and mixes, and HydraPak’s patented, leakproof Fast Flow sport cap can be opened by hand or mouth.

Tempo Pro is a strap-equipped version of the Tempo to give runners a grip-free carrying option. It has been tested and refined through feedback of professional runners and will launch in Summer 2024 as an accessory and standalone product.

The Tempo squeeze bottle packs will be sold in two sizes: 400-milliliter ($24.00 MSRP) and 525-milliliter ($27.00 MSRP), boasting an impressive water-to-weight ratio at 8.9 and 10.3, respectively. Available starting today on Hydrapak.com, the Tempo will exclusively launch online at retail partner TheFeed.com on February 15, 2024. Tempo Pro 400ml ($20.00 MSRP) and 525ml ( $21.00 MSRP) will debut in June of this year.
