Introducing Culturelines: An ARTILECT Studio Project

March 17, 2021

New Global Storytelling Platform Designed to Spotlight and Inspire

BOULDER, Colo. – MARCH 17, 2021 – ARTILECT, a new performance-driven apparel brand, today announces the official launch of Culturelines, a new magazine and website designed to document the paths we follow, the people we meet, and the things we discover along the way. The goal is to surface stories from many different people across the globe who are united by a drive to change the conversation about the outdoors, technology, music, art, and culture.

Culturelines Magazine is expected to print 2-3 times each year, and Culturelines.com is now live with a range of stories including profiles of artist Evan Hecox, TECHUNTER Magazine, the Berlin-based music collective Wood // Work, and a profile of Bluebird Backcountry, Colorado’s new backcountry ski resort.

“Before I was a product and brand creator, I was a skateboarder and snowboarder who was deeply influenced by the DIY culture of videos and zines,” said Trent Bush, founder of ARTILECT Studio and Editor-in-Chief of Culturelines. “With Culturelines we’re going back to the basics to capture that feeling, slowing things down a bit, and focusing on the amazing stories of being alive in the world, doing what we do for passion, fun, and exploration. We want people to join us for the ride, and also reach out to send us ideas for stories and people who we should talk to.”

New stories will be posted weekly at Culturelines.com, and the group is seeking writers and photographers who are interested in supporting the publication. Culturelines Magazine Issue 1 is out now and will be found in specialty outdoor and active lifestyle retail shops.

Stories from Culturelines Issue 1:

  • Bluebird Backcountry: A Democratized Backcountry Ski Experience
  • The Artist: Evan Hecox
  • Meet Wood // Work – A Berlin-based Music Collective
  • Expanding Space – an interview with Stefan Ytterborn, CEO of CAKE zero-emission motorcycles
  • Resilience: From Stress Comes Transformation – Interview with Joel Hartter

Culturelines is a project by ARTILECT Studio, the creative arm of the new Boulder, Colorado-based apparel brand founded in 2020.
