Maryland Mountain added to Team Evergreen Cycling’s ‘Session Series’

April 18, 2023

More weeknight enduro fun in Colorado

/OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Team Evergreen is happy to announce that a 2nd location has been added to their very popular Session Series Enduro Mountain Bike races. The Hard Money trail at Maryland Mountain is a 1.8 mile downhill-only trail packed with jumps, berms, and technical line options that will challenge even the most experienced racers. On Friday, June 30th, 200 racers will ride up to the top of the trail and compete to see who can descend Hard Money in the shortest time.

The expansion of the Session Series furthers Team Evergreen’s goal of creating fun, community focused mountain bike races on the trails they helped to fund and build. “We’ve had many requests to bring the series to Maryland Mountain, and we are psyched that our partnership with COMBA and the City of Black Hawk has allowed it to happen,” shares Team Evergreen Executive Director, Jen Barbour. The event will be the 5th race in the 2023 series. The first 4 events will take place at Floyd Hill Open Space in Clear Creek County, another trail system built through Team Evergreen and COMBA’s efforts.

Profits from weeknight series (over $20K over the past 2 years) go right back to the trails, with COMBA leading the charge to maintain and build more trails for the mountain bike community. “Team Evergreen is an important partner for us and we’re stoked to help them bring The Session Series to Black Hawk,” states Gary Moore, Director of COMBA. “We hope to continue to grow this enduro series to demonstrate that our local trails can be great venues for events that end up enhancing the trail experience for all involved”.

The first 4 Session Series events are completely sold out. Registration for the Maryland Mountain race will open on 4/20 and be limited to the first 200 registrants. Get all of the details and sign up at www.sessionseries.org
