- And Promptly Sets a 24-Hour Race Sebring Record

SEBRING, FL — MODe proudly announces the sponsorship of ultra-endurance cyclist Evens Stievenart.  Stievenart recently rode a stunning 533 miles in 24 hours at the Bike Sebring 24-Hour RAAM qualifying race on February 9th and 10th. Powered by MODe’s line of all-natural sports nutrition products, Stievenart averaged 22mph for the 24-hour period which not only gave him the win against main competitor Marko Baloh but also set a new race record!

Evens burned over 17,000 calories while consuming 7,500 calories on the bike. This included fifteen scoops of MODe’s all-natural Electrolyte Hydration Mix to replenish vital minerals lost during his all day and night effort. “Nutrition is at least 50% of performance during a race like this. Electrolytes, amino acids, and a lot of water were key. I was consuming small consistent portions every 20 minutes,” says Stievenart.

“Functional nutrition can make a fundamental difference, for both elite and amateur racers,” says Tammo Walter, CEO and Co-Founder of MODe. “How you improve, perform, and recover is drastically impacted by the nutrition you consume when training and competing.”

Look for Stievenart and his team partner Jean-Luc Perez, both accomplished time trial and long-distance cycling experts from France, to break the record for the two-man-team category at this June’s Race Across America and make it from Oceanside, CA to Annapolis, MD in under 6 days and 10 hours – all powered by MODe all-natural sports nutrition.
