Oboz doubles down on its One More Tree program for April

April 8, 2021

Oboz to plant two trees for every boot tried on at participating stores.

Bozeman, Mont., (April 8, 2021) — Oboz, the ‘True to the Trail®’ footwear brand, has been planting a tree for each pair of boots it has sold since 2007. To date, the Bozeman, MT-based brand has planted over 3.5 million trees through its partnership with Trees for the Future. This month, Oboz will plant two trees for every pair of boots tried on, and three trees total for every boot tried on and sold at participating dealers. Oboz will also plant an additional two trees for every boot sold at Obozfootwear.com through April 30, 2021.

“We are firm believers that we should celebrate and take care of our earth everyday, not just on April 22nd,” said Rich Hohne, Director of Brand + Consumer Experience. “We’ve been planting a tree for every pair sold before it was en vogue and with our dealers’ help, we hope to eclipse the 4-million-tree mark by early summer.”

Last year, Oboz expanded its partnership with Trees for the Future (www.trees.org) with the Tabora Forest Garden Project in Tanzania, Africa. The four-year project strategically plants specific types of trees that can positively change families’ lives. These “Forest Gardens” consist of thousands of trees that provide families with food sources, livestock feed, products to sell and, on average, increase annual incomes by 400% over four years.
