Oboz follows up Fast Trail Challenge with the Oboz Trail Experience

June 26, 2023

Bozeman, Mont., (June 26, 2023)/OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Last month, Oboz hosted its Fast Trail Challenge where in the first ten days of May, Oboz challenged people to get out and hike at least one mile a day and they planted a tree for every hike completed, as well as additional trees for bonus hikes. The result was over 16,000 miles hiked and over 5,400 trees planted.

Following the success of the Fast Trail Challenge, Oboz is launching its third year of the Oboz Trail Experience (OTE) in 2023. The OTE is a program where over a course of one month, participants complete hikes on local trails for chances to win prizes from Oboz, the local Oboz retail partner, and local and national partners while supporting a local trail organization.

“The Oboz Trail Experience is a great way to encourage people to get outside, explore their local area, and visit their local Oboz retailer, all the while winning some prizes and supporting their local trail system,” said Regan Betts, Oboz Marketing Manager.

The Experience is designed for hiking, walking, running, and people using mobility assistive devices. It was created to help people re-discover their favorite trails, learn about new or lesser-known trails, push their limits, and recreate locally while competing against local legends, their peers, or themselves.

After registering, participants must track their hikes on a GPS-enabled device such as a Garmin or Suunto watch, or through a mobile phone using an app like Strava, MapMyFitness, or Sports Tracker. Each Experience includes a number of prescribed trails for participants to complete. Additionally, several trails are tagged as Promoted Trails which if completed, participants are awarded prizes from Oboz, the participating retailer, and/or other local organizations and businesses. Participants also have the chance to win one of five pairs of Oboz footwear, including styles from the new Katabatic Collection, during the OTE after-parties which are typically hosted by the local retail partner.

The Katabatic fast trail hikers are a new breed of hiking shoes from Oboz that are fast and light while providing the stability, durability, and performance Oboz footwear is known for. The Katabatic is offered in men’s and women’s styles in mid and low heights, as well as with or without Oboz B-DRY waterproof and breathable technology.
