OCR 100m World Records Validated by Guinness

Team Philippines dominates, Poland on the podium
Pasig City, Philippines /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – The Philippine Open OCR 100m concluded this week with athletes setting new men’s and women’s world records, both validated by Guinness World RecordsTM. The Philippine national team dominated, with gold, silver and bronze medals in the women’s race and gold in the men’s race. Poland won silver and bronze.
Kaizen Dela Serna (PHI) won gold and set the Fastest 100m obstacle course race in competition (FISO) (female) with a time of 39.42 seconds, with silver going to Precious Cabuya (PHI, 40.01) and bronze to Milky Mae Tejares (PHI, 44.68). All medal winners bested the previous world record of 46.70 seconds set at the 2019 Southeast Asia Games by Rochelle Suarez, also of the Philippines.
In the men’s race, Mark Julius Rodelas (PHI) established the Fastest 100 m obstacle course race in competition (FISO) (male) with a blistering time of 27.12 seconds, with European record holder Przemyslaw Janczuk (POL) winning silver (28.11) and Jakub Zawitowski (POL, 30.87) winning the bronze medal. Rodelas and Janczuk both went under the previous world mark of 29.92 seconds set at the 2019 SEA Games by Kevin Pascua (PHI).
The 100m World Record course was authenticated by World Obstacle officials and Mr. Justin Patterson of Guinness World RecordsTM validated the records during the competition.
“We wanted to provide an event open to all international athletes and give them the opportunity to compete head-to-head with the Philippine team” said Pilipinas Obstacle Sports Federation President Mr. Al Agra. “In addition to delivering highly competitive international events, we are facilitating friendship and solidarity for the obstacle sports community worldwide.”
