Oiselle Expands Bras for Girls Program with In2Sports Bra Launch

March 8, 2021

Each Bra Purchased Automatically Donates a Bra to a Girl in Need

Seattle, WA – March 8, 2021 – Oiselle announces an expansion to their successful Bras for Girls program on International Women’s Day. For each purchase of the newly launched In2Sports Bra, a sports bra will be donated to the Bras for Girls Program.

Established in 2017,  Bras for Girls’ mission is to help girls stay active and see physical activity as a lifelong pursuit. According to a study in the Journal of Adolescent Health, 73% of girls report having breast-related concerns regarding exercise and sports and close to half report that their breasts have an effect on their participation in sports. These concerns lead to a decrease in physical activity which could have a lifelong impact. Oiselle aims to combat this issue by providing bras to middle school girls. To date, more than 10,500 bras have been donated to more than 100 girls athletic programs.

“Because of Oiselle’s generosity of donating a well-made physical support garment, they have actually facilitated a process for emotional support and health support too, that may result in a lifetime of improved health,” said Susie Lutz, Cascade Middle School Track and Field Coach, one of the Bras for Girls’ program recipients.

With the launch of the new In2Sports bra, consumers are now able to make a direct impact to the Bras for Girls program. This one-to-one corporate responsibility pledge further expands the company’s core tenant of community outreach to girls in need.

“Our goal is to think global but act local,” said Dr. Sarah Lesko, Oiselle’s Corporate Development Lead. “In just four short years, Bras for Girls has educated thousands of young women on body image while simultaneously providing them with a high quality sports bra to comfortably participate in sports. We are thrilled to further expand our outreach in 2021.”

Local organizers can submit a nomination form to apply to become a beneficiary of the Bras for Girls program.
