Outdoor Media Summit Announces Aaron Bible as New Event Director

Bentonville, AR (February 17, 2025) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Outdoor Media Summit (OMS), the leading conference for outdoor journalists, content creators, and brand marketers, announced a new Event Director for this year’s show in Durango, Colorado, October 27-29, 2025, and for more exciting growth ahead.

Veteran outdoor industry journalist and media consultant Aaron H. Bible will assume the position of Event Director for OMS effective immediately. OMS is a three-day event that features keynotes, technical breakout sessions, workshops and other networking opportunities tailored for marketing professionals at outdoor brands and media, now in its 10th year (2025 will be the 9th show due to the pandemic).

“As much as we are sorry to see Lucie Patton move on to another position that we know will fill her cup and allow her to grow professionally into the graphic designer and marketer she is meant to be, we feel lucky that the stars aligned at just the right time to allow us to quickly bring on a trusted partner,” said Yoon Kim, founder of Outdoor Media Summit. Patton will remain with the team on a retainer basis to help with the transition.

Aaron is an award-winning writer, editor, multimedia producer, and content specialist with nearly three decades of experience in the active lifestyle industries. He has developed content and media strategies for some of the biggest names in the outdoor world, while launching numerous publications, e-commerce sites, and social platforms. With more than ten years as a trade journalist for Outdoor Retailer magazine, Sporting Goods Business, and other industry-leading titles, Aaron brings extensive expertise to his craft. A contributing editor at Elevation Outdoors, his work has been featured in Freeskier, Gear Junkie, Powder, Men’s Health, Backpacker, 5280, and many other top-tier publications. He holds an MFA in documentary photography from the Savannah College of Art & Design and has worked as a gallery director and photographic educator. A lifelong outdoor enthusiast, Aaron now lives in Colorado Springs with his wife and two daughters, where they are raising the next generation to love thin air, fresh powder, and the flow state.
