SAN FRANCISCO, CA (March 24, 2026) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ — Peak Design, the global leader in thoughtfully engineered carry solutions, is proud to have been named to Fast Company’s prestigious list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies of 2026, earning the Number 8 spot in the Small and Mighty category (51–200 employees). This year’s list shines a spotlight on businesses that are shaping industry and culture through their innovations. Alongside the World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies, Fast Company recognizes 720 honorees across 59 sectors and regions.
“This is a big honor, but it’s not something we’ve ever set out to win. We’re motivated by some pretty simple ideas: make the best things we can, question everything, and take responsibility for how those things impact people and the planet. Innovation is just the byproduct of that mindset. We’ve got a long way to go, but this is a good reminder we’re on the right track,” said Peter Dering, Founder and CEO of Peak Design.
Over the past 18 months, Peak Design has introduced a series of category-defining products that reflect its commitment to thoughtful engineering and user-first design. The Roller Pro Carry-On (March 2025) reimagines traditional luggage with a patented SlimDrive™ carbon fiber trolley that maximizes packing space and ensures smooth handling. Its hybrid construction pairs a polycarbonate shell with Versa Shell™ fabric to combine hard-sided protection with soft-sided flexibility. Nearly all components are custom-built, reflecting Peak Design’s commitment to original design and a more intuitive travel experience.
In the mobile category, the iPhone 17 Everyday Case (September 2025) is the world’s first Fair Trade Certified™ phone case, built around the SlimLink™ system for seamless integration with Peak Design’s mobile ecosystem, representing a step forward in combining high-performance design with responsible production.
Peak Design partnered with Academy Award-winning cinematographer Jimmy Chin to develop the Pro Tripod (June 2025), rethinking traditional tripod design with custom carbon fiber legs and an innovative center column that delivers full height while collapsing to a compact form. A proprietary ball head adds fluid motion and modular functionality, offering precise, adaptable performance for both photographers and filmmakers.
