PeopleForBikes Announces New Coalition Members and Subcommittee Volunteers

December 7, 2020

BOULDER, COLO (Dec. 7, 2020) — Despite the many challenges our nation faced in 2020, PeopleForBikes was hard at work this year supporting the bike industry and getting more people on bikes.

Working to ensure bicycling and local bike shops were considered essential at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, helping millions of new and returning riders get on their bikes amid the biggest bike boom in decades and fighting burdensome tariffs to save the bike industry millions of dollars, PeopleForBikes accomplished a lot in 2020.

Of course, none of this work would have been possible without the support of the PeopleForBikes Coalition, a group of more than 280 bike industry suppliers and businesses united under the belief that when people ride bikes, great things happen.

“Our Coalition members are the lifeblood of our work here at PeopleForBikes,” said Rod Judd, PeopleForBikes director of membership and industry engagement. “Thanks to the support of our nearly 300 members, our voice, influence and efforts to improve bicycling and the bike industry have never been stronger.”

In appreciation of the time, effort and dollars these companies dedicate to getting involved and supporting their work, PeopleForBikes will be publishing a quarterly list of all new Coalition members who join them in their mission of making biking better for everyone. A big thank you to the following companies who signed on as PeopleForBikes Coalition members during Q3 of 2020:

  • Avocado Bikes
  • Catrike
  • Cervelo
  • Lyft
  • Rudy Project North America
  • Gazelle
  • PON Holdings
  • Santa Cruz Bicycles

As a token of gratitude for supporting their work, all PeopleForBikes member companies’ staff can access valuable benefits including bicycling participation data and sales reports through the PeopleForBikes Business Intelligence Hub. Coalition members also receive free industry e-news and invitations to free webinars and events for members. Interested in having your company join the PeopleForBikes Coalition? Above and beyond joining the Coalition, many member companies also have employees who volunteer their time working on PeopleForBikes’ board of directors, trade association committee and multiple subcommittees, all dedicated to improving bicycling and the bike business nationwide.
