Denver-based performance apparel manufacturer adds industry veteran to leadership team

DENVER, Colo. (August 3, 2023) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – TRUEWERK, the direct-to-consumer performance workwear brand, officially announced the hiring of Michael Pogue as Chief Financial Officer. The move is another step towards TRUEWERK’s goal to build the world’s leading performance workwear and celebrate the lives and work of the modern trade professionals who use it.

“TRUEWERK’s products and mission are innovative and inspiring,” Pogue said. “I’m thrilled to join their talented team and help guide the brand towards a promising future.”

Pogue comes to TRUEWERK with over 20 years of leadership experience, including eleven years with the clothing apparel brand prAna and eight years with Guess?, Inc., where he demonstrated the rigor and discipline necessary to build a healthy, sustainable business amid rapid growth. His knowledge and expertise are invaluable assets that will help TRUEWERK continue to serve tradespeople throughout the United States and beyond.

“Mike has been an immediate benefit to our team,” said TRUEWERK’s CEO and founder, Brian Ciciora. “His extensive background in the apparel industry, coupled with his deep understanding of financial management, makes him uniquely suited for this position, and he fits our Team like a glove.”

Founded in 2015 by Brian Ciciora, TRUEWERK elevates what’s expected from workwear. The brand’s long-lasting, lightweight, water-resistant textiles helped revolutionize the workwear space and challenge the heavy, absorbent materials traditionally used since the industry’s inception. The brand supports trade professionals by crafting high-performance garments with unique considerations for job sites, partnering with various local and national organizations to create limited-edition products, and donating a percentage of their profits to trade-focused causes.

“It’s been wonderful to start working and integrating with the TRUEWERK team,” Pogue said. “I can’t wait to see the exciting innovations the brand makes to benefit trade professionals across the country and around the globe.”
