Denver-based performance apparel manufacturer introduces first workwear lineup for mechanics, technicians, and more

DENVER, Colo. (August 23, 2023) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – TRUEWERK, the direct-to-consumer performance workwear brand, recently launched their all-new XP WerkPant. Built on the foundation of their T1 and T2 WerkPants, performance softshell work pants that put TRUEWERK on the map as an innovative competitor among heritage brands, the latest addition evolved to meet the needs of today’s professionals in the wrench and grease trades. Part of their X-Line, the brand’s most specialized collection of workwear, the XP WerkPant is TRUEWERK’s most technical product to date.

“We collaborated with some of the country’s most elite heavy equipment mechanics and technicians on the development of the XP WerkPant,” said TRUEWERK CEO Brian Ciciora. “Seeing how many techs work on the ground to access heavy machinery or complete field repairs highlighted the critical need for knee protection that’s light and flexible enough to be ‘always on’ without restricting mobility, but provides enough cushion to ensure comfortable, safe, and productive work. Unlike any other pant on the work market, the XP is specifically designed to meet the needs of modern, high-performance mechanics and technicians.”

TRUEWERK partnered with heavy equipment dealer Ziegler CAT on the conception and development of the XP WerkPant when the group needed a more modern, technical solution for their employee uniform offerings that could withstand the industrial laundering process while offering premiere protection and comfort.

“I think the most important aspect of this pant is that it is purpose-built, with the tech user in mind,” said Manager of Procurement and Logistics at Ziegler, Joseph Packard. “We did not want to just give them any off-the-shelf pants, they needed to be comfortable, yet durable and flexible for their various day-to-day needs.”

The XP WerkPant features long-lasting softshell fabric with four-way stretch for unparalleled comfort, mobility, and protection on the job. Addressing the lack of integrated knee protection in today’s US workwear market, TRUEWERK added air-permeable and flexible built-in knee pads that can be easily removed while washing for professionals that work low on hard or uneven ground. Product developers used a highly technical double-woven softshell material to resist tears and abrasions, allowing the XP to withstand the daily wear and tear from work in challenging environments unlike traditional cotton or duck canvas work pants. The highly breathable fabric with an interior wicking treatment provides all-day cooling comfort for professionals working in hot garages. An extended elastic waistband ensures a secure fit throughout the year, and articulated legs allow for a full range of mobility where it counts.

For additional functionality, the XP WerkPant includes an enlarged phone pocket and TRUEWERK’s standard pencil slot on the right, a utility cargo pocket on the left thigh to carry fasteners and hand tools parts, and the fabric easily hides dirt, grime, and stains. With TRUEWERK’s full feature set, the XP WerkPant is built to handle any challenging job.

“As TRUEWERK’s introduction to the wrench and grease trades, the XP WerkPant is a benchmark product for the brand,” Ciciora said. “We couldn’t be more proud of the work our product development team, testers and entire TRUEWERK staff put in to bring this incredible piece to trade professionals everywhere.”
