September 6, 2019

GORE® C5 GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ Hybrid Hooded Jacket and the GORE® C5 GORE-TEX Trail Hooded Jacket offer optimum protection and ultimate comfort.

Mountain bikers know only too well that mountain weather can change from one moment to the next, turning a mild Autumn day into a blustery, slippery affair in no time. That’s why good outerwear should offer robust all-weather and versatile protection to you keep you comfortable and protected, no matter what Mother Nature or the trail might throw at you. Introducing: GORE® C5 GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ Hybrid Hooded Jacket.

New to the GORE® Wear collection for 2019, the GORE® C5 GORE-TEXINFINIUM™ Hybrid Hooded Jacket is a cleverly designed outerlayer that can be worn for a broad range of activities, and provides a fabric solution for those days when temperature changes, wind, light rain and trail spray are all a possibility.

Predominantly made of GORE® WINDSTOPPER® Stretch Material, the GORE® C5 GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ Hybrid Hooded Jacket offers all-weather protection with the comfort of softshell.

Adding to its wind blocking properties, the jacket’s critical areas, like the shoulders, upper body and arms, are constructed from a waterproof GORE-TEX Active material, targeting the parts of your body that need the most weather protection. Additionally, just like any fully hardshell jacket, the jacket features puddle splash and mud spray protection.

“Under the GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ umbrella brand, we are now able to bring together the most advanced technologies to provide the best possible comfort and protection. In other words, we get as much out of the product as we possibly can,” explained GORE® Wear designer Kristina Mora.

“This makes the GORE® C5 GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ Hybrid Hooded Jacket a highly versatile jacket.”

The stand-out feature of this jacket is its lightweight and breathable fabric, making it the ideal companion for all mountain biking activities. The form-fitting cut is available in black, red or blue color schemes that also feature reflective logos to keep riders visible at night.

PROPER CARE – TIPS AND TRICKS
Washing Instructions
Outerwear

GORE-TEX products are robust, highly functional and have a long useful life. Routine care, including washing, drying, and reapplying DWR as needed, will ensure excellent performance and extend the useful life of your gear.

Before laundering your garment, zip the front, pockets, and pits completely, and fasten all flaps and straps. Be sure to carefully follow the garment manufacturer’s instructions too.

WASH

Machine wash on a warm permanent press cycle (105°F/ 40°C) with a small amount of liquid detergent. Rinse twice, and minimize spinning to reduce creasing. Don’t use powder detergents, fabric softeners, stain removers, or bleach. Don’t wash with heavily soiled clothing.

IRON*

If you don’t have access to a tumble dryer, you can still reactivate the DWR by ironing the dried garment on a gentle setting (warm, no steam) by placing a towel or cloth between the garment and the iron.

* Do not iron GORE-TEX SHAKEDRY™ garments.

DRY

Line dry your garment, or tumble dry it on a warm, gentle cycle. Once it’s dry, tumble dry the garment for 20 minutes to reactivate the durable water repellent (DWR) treatment on the outer fabric. You can do this anytime you notice the water repellency needs a boost.*

  • Do not tumble dry GORE-TEX SHAKEDRY™ garments.

WATER-REPELLENT TREATMENT

If water repellency can no longer be reactivated by washing and drying you’ll need to reapply a durable water repellent (DWR) treatment. Be sure to always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for reapplication—and don’t forget to activate it by following our instructions for tumble drying or ironing.

* Does not apply to GORE-TEX SHAKEDRY™ garments
