Farm-to-can soda maker to collaborate with Darby Communications to promote all-natural beverages

Effective immediately, Darby Communications will be the PR agency of record for Devil’s Foot, spreading awareness of their full line of non-alcoholic craft beverages made with organic and locally sourced ingredients. The new partnership comes just in time to promote the latest flavor collaboration from Devil’s Foot, Ben’s Friends Sparkling Peach Lemonade, as well as the brand’s distribution expansion to Alabama.

Devil’s Foot Beverage Co. originated with a group of friends getting together to backyard-brew a spicy, non-alcoholic ginger beer for cocktail mixers. When two of those friends, Ben Colvin and his wife Vashti, found out they were expecting their first child, it became obvious that celebratory non-alcoholic beverage options were practically non-existent. In fact, nearly  all the non-alcoholic offerings were full of high-fructose corn syrup and artificial ingredients. Realizing this gap in the market, Ben joined forces with Asheville musician and graphic designer Jacob Baumann to start Devil’s Foot Beverage Co. in 2017.

Drawing from Ben’s background in conservation, the two founders began working with farmers to source local and organic produce for their craft sodas. Aiming to brew a healthier, more inclusive craft beverage, the company now produces ten distinct flavors of craft soda, each containing less than 20 grams of sugar per can.

“We created our business model around community, sustainability, nutrition, and support for the local and organic farmer, and we needed an agency that would understand these priorities,” says Ben Colvin, co-founder and president of Devil’s Foot. “When we met the folks at Darby Communications we knew they were a perfect match for our brand, combining their experience with their local and national connections.
